Okay, so if you've been reading these post for any amount of time the truth is, you're probably a lot closer to understanding goals than you think. You're also a lot closer to actualizing your goals while creating the lifestyle that you want. So, today I'm going to share a step-by-step strategy that our clients use to crush their goals, but before we dig into that let me give you 3 things you do NOT need to do when trying to achieve your goals.

Now this might shock you! As a personal development and goal achievement junkie I've had guru's and experts tell me that I need all of these things to be successful, but I've been able to negate these myths and prove them wrong. Are you ready!? Let's go!

1. Self-Discipline Is Not The Key

You do not need to become the most self-disciplined person you know and you don't have to follow a strict routine or schedule to achieve your goals. Self-discipline is good to have, but I've helped clients who struggled with self-discipline their whole life, hit their goals and even to this day, they continue to see success with goal planning.

2. Make Your Goals #1

The truth is life is busy. Most of us work full-time and barely have any energy at the end of the day to connect with our closest friends. I've helped busy stay at home parents and entrepreneurs achieve their most challenging goals even with tons of responsibilities and priorities trying to capture their attention.

3. One Strategy Works For All Goals

Every goal has different requirements and everyone is unique. We can't try to use one method of goal achievement for every goal we have. Different goals demand different skills and with all of the advancements happening in the world we now have more tools to help in our goal crushing journey.

So here's the truth misleading information leads to confusion which leads to ineffectiveness which means NO RESULT. Here is a simple proven way that I use to achieve my goals and have helped tons of our clients to do the same.

Key #1: Discover Underlying Principles

Spend some time identifying core principles related to achieving your specific goals. Methods and strategies change but principles are universal laws that never change and therefore once you understand these you have a fail-proof way to succeed in anything you want.

Key #2: Take Action

With knowledge of the principles used to achieve your desired goal(s) you now have the advantage to work smarter, not harder. Apply these principles to your life and in time you will start getting the results you want. The main key here is taking action. You have to start working if you want to see a difference in your life.

Key #3: Accountability

The world's most successful people have someone in their life holding them accountable for their goals and challenging them to live more authentically and grow personally. Oprah Winfrey worked with Martha Beck (a life coach), Eric Schmidt (former CEO of google) worked with an executive coach, and Leonardo DiCaprio worked with Tony Robbins (a life coach).

Without accountability, you will not achieve your goals. They will continue to be an inspiring possibility for your future, but you will not have the right structure to get sustainable results and build the life that you envision.

Finding the right accountability is not hard. Talk to some of your friends and family to find out who they worked with or look for someone who has experience crushing goals and work with them.

Personal growth and goal attainment is achievable for you. No matter how much you've thought about  your goals or made plans to get them done (and have procrastinated) if you're reading this then you still have time!

You make progress and your life starts to look more like your dreams. The Top 4 Obstacles That keep you From Your Goals (and How to Overcome Them)

As a personal development junkie and coach for goal-getters, I consistently see people struggle through 4 major roadblocks. I myself have personally fought through many of these in my early years. 

The insight that I'm sharing with you today will help you no matter what stage of personal development you're at and no matter how far along you are in your goal crushing journey. From beginners to advanced goal-crushing machines you will value this post for years to come! *wink* you can thank me later! *Drum roll please!*

The first and primary obstacle I see hindering people's progress is...

1. Procrastination

This is a hard habit to break. It shows up like a thief in the night as soon as we make a commitment to pursue our goals. Think about it, most of us make new years resolutions, but how many of us actually achieve them? Only about 8% according to research done by the Statistic Brain Research Institute

We don't achieve our goals for various reasons but make no mistake about it, procrastination is at the top of the list!

How to Overcome it

Step 1: Set realistic goals

Write down your ultimate goal and then consider all of the steps it will take for you to get there. Write down each step. These small steps now become your baby goals. Crushing each of these baby goals helps you to stay on track and they act as a checkpoint for you to measure your progress.

Step 2: Start small

Start with the first task(s) you have to accomplish before you try to move ahead to the more exciting stuff. The process of goal achievement is like preparing for a wedding. All of the hard work is done behind the scenes. You have to lay the right foundation before you can start building your empire, you have to water and nurture the soil before anything starts growing. The same principle applies to goal achievement.

Bonus Tip:
While laying the right foundation for your goals include mindset work that will expand your thinking and stimulate personal growth. Working on your goals and challenging your beliefs at the same time develops your creativity and helps you to see your personal challenges from a fresh perspective.

Step 3: Reward yourself

Celebrate your small wins. This will help you to stay motivated and strengthen your confidence. You will know without a shadow of a doubt that YOU CAN ACHIEVE this goal. The more success you see while you work towards your goal acts as confirmation and strengthens your belief in yourself and your goals.

2. Lack of Self-Awareness

Research shows that most people believe they are more capable, gifted, skilled, eloquent, and so on than they actually are. We generally have a tenancy to overestimate what we can do and end up letting ourselves or others down.

Another way that we lack self-awareness is when we don't consider the heavy consequences associated with not achieving our goal. Before you decide to slack off on your goal(s) really think about who suffers in the end? Most likely it's you. You will not only suffer the pain of regret and live the rest of your life wondering "what if I tried...what if I actually achieved my goal, how would my life be better now?..." you will also have less confidence in yourself. 

One question I always ask myself before I pursue any goal is will you be proud of who you become? If the goal is something that I want to be true at the end of my life or is something that I want to be a part of my life story then I go for it. On the other hand. if it's a good idea and something nice to add to my story but it isn't really something I'm passionate about,  I simply put it on my list of cool ideas and after I complete my passion projects I slide in a cool idea just for fun to spice up my life a little bit.

How to Overcome it

Step 1: Humble yourself

The truth is we don't know what we don't know until we find out. You could think you're an amazing singer with unbelievable range and sweet dynamics, but if you get in front of 2 or 3 vocal professionals and they all tell you to maybe consider songwriting instead of singing you should take their advice seriously. 

Constructive feedback is key to helping you to discover yourself. It is not meant to tear you down or take your dreams aways it actually does the opposite. It helps you to save time, money, and effort. Find someone who has success in an area that you are struggling with like physical health, finances, relationships, and so on and ask them for help. They could become your mentor or a trusted advisor. 

Step 2: Get Accountability

Getting someone to hold you accountable is your breakthrough to freedom! Without accountability we all tend to get lost doing our own thing, trying to figure life out and we usually end up creating a mess. With accountability, we have someone that:

1. Believes in us
2. Helps us to realize our dream
3. Walks with us through the process.

3. Your Comfort Zone

According to US News, 80% of people who make new years resolutions fail by mid-February. Are you one of them? Let's be honest. I've been in this boat before. I even stopped setting goals because I didn't want to fail or beat myself up for not being committed to what I really claimed to want.

The truth is life gets busy, but another truth is that we all make time for what's important to us. The reason why you suck at achieving your goals is because 1. You don't know what you're doing and 2. You're way too comfortable!

You have to get sick and tired of being sick and tired, broke, overweight, struggling to find love, hating your job, regretting your choices, and feeling bad about your life. You have to get tired of the cycle, tired of the abuse, tired of lack, and tired of the emptiness you feel. Look at where your life is and decide that now is the time to change. Only you can get up and walk out of your comfort zone.

As a coach, I know that habits and mindsets are the biggest hinderances to personal growth, but with realistic goals and a teachable heart, I've seen people completely transform into goal crushing success machines! This can become your story too if you want it to be.

How to Overcome it

Step 1: Put in the work

There are no shortcuts. You have to be willing to let go of everything you're currently doing and learn a new way of life. Many people think they're open to growth until it's time to actually put in the work and change! Often times they don't realize how much junk they've been carrying and they've started to identify with it and think they are the things they are carrying. It's almost like because they've been overweight, living pay cheque to pay cheque, repeatedly dating the wrong type of person, constantly doubting themselves their whole life they think this is now who they are and no matter how much they try they can't change who they've become.

If you're in this boat I have good news for you hunny! That is the biggest lie you've ever heard! You are where you are because of the choices you've made and you can create the life of your dreams with your next set of choices! It sounds easy, but don't get it twisted, there is no magic formula. You have to get to work.

Step 2: Create a new normal

Start over and take things back to basics. In the areas of your biggest struggles relearn everything you think you know. Find a good book that teaches how to build healthy relationships and start following the lessons they teach. Find a suitable personal development coach and allow them to help you declutter your life and build a new upgraded version of yourself.

It's time to create a new routine, new attitude, new belief system, and new responses and reactions to old situations. You can't keep doing the same things and expect your life to look different 5 years from now. You are the captain of your ship, begin to take charge of your life and leave your comfort zone!

Step 3: Get rid of complacency

Allow yourself to be challenged in new ways. Get comfortable feeling uncomfortable. Accept that growth requires change and you are a project. Your life is continually evolving and you are a work in progress.

You are special and can't be compared to others.
Your journey to success is unique to who you are.
You can overcome every obstacle you face.

But if you want to taste success you have to be open to growth and let go of anything less than your ultimate goal. Don't settle for small, trickles of progress. Don't even settle for the compliments you will start receiving. Stay focused on your ultimate goal and don't stop until you get there.

4. Fear

I thought about writing this first and placing it at the top of the list but I wanted to save the best for last! Many times we don't understand how much fear is sucking the life out of us. We make so many decisions based on how we want others to perceive us and the kind of impressions we want to make on others but this way of thinking is causing us to lose touch with ourselves.

Fear dictates so much of our lives that we sometimes opt out of amazing opportunities because it causes a bit of uncertainty. With thoughts like "I can't" and "I shouldn't" fear appears as reasonable logic, but instead leaves us filled with doubt. 

The next time you get an incredible chance in life instead of shutting the door get creative and think of ways to make it work. Maybe working your dream job pays less, but you can lower your expenses or get a part-time job to make up for the lost income. You also have the option of starting a side hustle by turning your expertise into a business. There are so many options. Keep an open mind!

You are too smart to allow fear to make decisions for you. Break out of the norm and choose to live again! Choose to fearlessly experience life in new ways that you only currently dream about.

How to Overcome it

Step 1: Face the unknown

Stop making decisions based on the possible negative outcomes. Notice I said "making decisions..." so I'm not saying don't consider the negative outcomes, I'm saying don't make decisions based on them.

There will always be pros and cons to everything you do. To decide whether something is worth pursuing don't base it on which option outweighs the other. Instead, base it on which one is worth more to you. Which one will add more joy and experience to your life? Which do you want to be true at the end of your life? The fact that you went for it or that you chose the easy road? Which do you know will give you peace at night? Choose to face the unknown.

Step 2: Failure is your friend

Failure is not who you are or someone you can become it's an event. Don't be afraid of making mistakes because they teach you valuable lessons. Now I personally prefer learning from the mistakes of others. It saves me time and energy (sometimes money too!) but have experienced failure and it's discouraging! It doesn't feel good, I don't feel more motivated, I just want to push past it and move on. However, here's something I learned if you don't examine your failure you are more likely to make the same mistake. Why? Because you haven't dealt with the root of the problem.

Imagine a doctor tells a patient they have cancer. Instead of treating the cause of cancer they give the patient medicine that only deals with the symptoms and not cancer itself. What are the chances of the patient surviving? close to none right? Well, it's the same with our mistakes. If we don't examine the problem,  find the reason for the mistake, and then resolve it we will keep repeating the same behaviour.

Nothing changes unless you do.

Step 3: Find Solutions

Try this excerise. On a piece of paper write "what if I fail because..." then make a list of every fear stopping you from pursuing your dreams whether it's logical or not. Do this until all of your ideas are completely out of your mind. Now beside each reason for failure write 5 solutions to that problem. Here's an example:

What if I fail because...
1. I don't know what I'm doing
2. I have no experience
3. Etc

1. I can ...Hire a coach, do research, talk to people who have done it, go back to school, join an internship.

2. I can...volunteer somewhere, find a mentor, work with someone who has done it...

There will always be 1,000 voices giving you all of the reasons why you can't, will never or should not pursue your goals, but I will always be the voice of reason asking you why not?!

The One Thing I Wish I Knew 5 Years Ago

We're finally in the month of December! 

Yesterday was my wedding anniversary so I spent a whole 24 hours partying like a rock star! Now I feel refreshed (mentally), hungry and physically tired. I want to catch up on sleep, but we both know THAT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN so I'm pressing on lol! With only 4 weeks left of this year I'm getting ready to jump into the new year with some sass and class, do you hear me?! Haha, *wink*. I am so excited! How are you feeling today?

As I started thinking about some lessons I learned this year like how to create opportunities for myself and how to be impactful while being authentic I also considered the various challenges within each lesson. As I reflected on the incredible amount of personal development I experienced, I had to wonder why on earth it took me so long to get started.

I quickly realized that I was my biggest stumbling block. I was literally stopping myself and standing in my own way. Without any awareness, I was slowing down my progress by subconsciously doubting my skills and abilities. Of course, I would encourage myself and continually say that "I can do anything", but at the same time, I would talk myself out of what I really wanted and eventually convinced myself that getting a paycheque was more important than pursuing something that may not work out.

Have you ever done that? Put your dreams on hold so that you could meet the immediate demands of life. Well, how did that work out for you? Are you still in that rat race?

I held myself back for YEARS because I did not BELIEVE in myself. All the positive affirmations in the world did not change the fact that I didn't actually believe that I could do what I was dreaming about. Having a positive mindset is only one piece of the puzzle. For you to crush any goal you have to:

1. Believe that your goal is possible.
2. Believe in yourself
3. Go for it.

Without any action, positive self-talk gets you nowhere. Notice that I said it GETS you nowhere. Not that it's not good for you or you should stop doing it, but it literally doesn't get your feet moving out of your comfort zone. You have to physically begin to move, conquer your obstacles and get your dream off the ground. Achieving a goal is about having the right mindset and taking the right steps.

Now it's your turn: 

Reflect on this year and think about all the wonderful experiences you had. The places you got to see and the new people you got to meet. Ask yourself questions like:

- What was a highlight for me this year? 
- What are some key resources (blogs, books, podcast, etc) that changed my mindset, habits, and behavior this year? 

After you write those down in your journal think about some of the goals you crushed and the ones your still working on. 

- Which goal crushing strategies worked well for you? 
- Which ones need improvement? 
- What are some obstacles you faced this year? 

Example: Did you find that you were emotionally exhausted and it kept you from pursuing your goals as much as you wanted or were you physically exhausted because you had to balance your work and personal life so you let go of your dreams for now?

No matter what your struggle was this year there is a solution and with the right strategy, you will overcome it.

2019 is full of opportunities waiting for you to get out and explore them! Don't waste another year wishing, hoping or dreaming about what's possible. Get out there and stop dreaming and start doing! The Number One Question People Ask Me

As a coach that helps people to achieve their most challenging life goals, you can probably imagine that I get asked a ton of questions on a regular basis. Can you guess what the most common question is? It may be how do I become more self-disciplined? Or how can I minimize distractions to crush my goals faster? Well, if you agreed with either one of these you're close! I get these questions quite often, but it's not the number question. The leading question people ask me whether they are a client or not is "how do I achieve my goals?"

Everyone has goals in life no matter how big or small they are. Some people want to start their own business, complete an overdue passion project or become an author or an artist. No matter the size of the goal we all need a blueprint (which is what I like to call a roadmap or strategic plan). As an early Christmas present, today I'm sharing my goal crushing secrets with you! Yes, that's right! I'm giving you the inside scoop on how to create your own unique strategy to achieve your personal goals within a reasonable amount of time.

Now, let's be honest. We know (based on research) that only 8/100 people actually reach their goals. As much as I hope you are one of them, I know the majority simply will not change. Living your dreams demands more than the practical knowledge of HOW to get it done. You have to let go of what's not working, what's holding you back, and what's limiting your progress to embrace change, sacrifice and a new you.

1. Personal Development (Character)

If you want to experience a new reality, you have to be open to becoming a new, upgraded version of yourself. This isn't simply being the best you that you can be, it's a complete transformation of your perspective, attitude, beliefs, and character. You CAN go as far as you want in life, but you WILL only go as far as you take yourself. Woooouuuuu! That was good. I hope you didn't miss it! I'll say it again.

The possibilities are endless for you! You can create anything you want with your life. This is true, however, it is also true that YOU WILL only produce (you will only create) what your character can handle. If your goal is to become your own boss one day it is totally possible, thousands of people are doing it and will continue to go for it, but the only way YOU WILL GET THERE is if you develop yourself enough to be able to succeed at that level.

It takes more than maturity, knowledge, and skills. You need strong character. Character is like the muscle power behind every lasting success story that you see around the world. It is the foundation of who you are and the reason why you do what you do. It's stronger than motivation and yields better results than networking. This is the first area you should focus on and pro tip: the work in this area never ends.

2. S.M.A.R.T Goal Planning

Your goal has to be:

Without a clear target, you're aiming at the wind. You will get minimal results at best and you will grow tired and eventually give up. Do not, I repeat never attempt to achieve a goal without prior strategic planning and a clear measurable outcome. You can read more about this here.

After you establish clear objectives identify the key action steps that will lead you to your ultimate outcome. List them in order of importance then start backing your plan with action. Start working on the first major key step and once that's accomplished celebrate! Congratulate yourself, get some rest if you need it then work your way through the second major key step and so on.

3. Patience (Consistency)

Now listen, seeing results WILL TAKE TIME, you will not take bounds and leaps of progress every day, but consistency will lead you to the richest results. You will reap what you sow, results are produced with time. No one plants an apple seed and expects a full grown tree the next day, right? That's just not how life works. Well, it's the same when it comes to your goals.

You can't start working hard today and expect 10 lbs to be gone by tomorrow or you can't complete one chapter of your book today and expect it to be published by next week. It takes time so take the pressure off yourself. Don't compare your process to anyone else, don't minimize your effort, and don't give up.

3 Secrets to Take Responsibility for Your Life

I've been there, I've been there, I'VE BEEN THERE! 

Just like you I've spent time blaming others, waiting for help, and feeling entitled. I thought that my life was what it was because I didn't have anyone to teach me how to attain the level of success that I wanted. Can I get a witness? Just say "I" if you've walked in these shoes!

I believed that my environment made me who I was and there wasn't much I could do to change. The mindset, behavior, and lifestyle of the people around me seemed so ingrained that I told myself I couldn't change even if I wanted to. Lol, man I was SO WRONG (and thank God for that!)!

When I began studying the bible I realized that I control my thoughts, actions, and destiny. I determine who I am and who I become. Not my past, not my environment, not my habits, I decide. *Whew!* just like that, the weight was lifted. The limitations were completely gone! I began to see myself in a new light, full of possibilities and capable of achieving anything. Don't get me wrong, it took some time, but after I realized that I was in control of my life and it was my responsibility to maximize my potential I got to work.

I quickly denounced limiting beliefs, destroyed self-sabotaging habits and behaviors, and started my journey to personal freedom. I felt a real boost in my confidence and I had a sense of unlimited power. To be honest, up until this point I wasn't even aware of the comfort zone I had built over the years. I was so comfortable with my excuses. I told myself that because I grew up in a single parent home with no one around to teach me about wealth I didn't have a fair chance to succeed like other people did. It also didn't help that I wasn't the brightest kid in school (because I didn't put in the effort), and I definitely didn't have any special privileges or access to incredible resources. Yet, over the years I realized that the "odds" that I thought were stacked against me were actually benefits stacked in my favor.

My life experience was meant to build my character, make me smarter and turn me into an unstoppable success building machine. Nonetheless, if I wanted to benefit from my experience, I had to stop doing 3 things and decide to turn my limits into strengths and my excuses into my reason for doing something. Below I share my secrets for breaking free knowing that if I was able to change and create this beautiful life that I enjoy, you can do the same. First, you must...

1. Stop Complaining

In my mind, I complained about everything I was dissatisfied with my finances, my job, my friends, and ultimately my life. I couldn't understand why my life was the way it was and all I wanted to do was complain and blame others for not teaching me how to achieve the things I wanted. Low and behold I WAS THE PROBLEM. Until I changed my mindset nothing in my life could have changed.

You have to get to the point where you stop complaining and start looking for ways to improve your life. Instead of looking for someone to point the finger at and blame for your failures use your energy to take responsibility for where you are right now and start finding solutions. Look for someone who is excelling in the things that you're failing in. You could know them personally or they could be a public figure. Read their books, find out how they succeeded. Look for principles that you can apply to your life starting today and put in the effort to create better results for yourself.

2. Stop Accepting Defeat

I know challenging yourself isn't easy, but in life, you only have 2 very real choices. One is to accept the pain of self-discipline and do what you have to do to get to where you want to be or two, suffer the pain of regret. If you make a habit of accepting personal defeat, excuses, and limitations then that is all you will get. On the other hand, if you choose to persevere, find solutions to your problems, create a roadmap for your success and then execute it without any excuses or justification for failure YOU WILL SUCCEED! Will it take tremendous effort? Of course, you know it will! Will you enjoy the process? *Shrugs* Maybe not. Will you become a different person in the process? Yes! and you'll be proud of yourself.

3. Stop Comparing Your Process To "Their" End Result

Something I tell all of my clients is when you are striving to achieve a goal, the only time you can gently compare yourself to others is when you are considering what's possible for yourself. Sometimes what you want to achieve hasn't been done before so you have to go ahead and blaze the trail by being the example of what's possible for others, but in most cases, what you want to achieve has been done and there are plenty of examples so why not use them?

When someone achieves the level of success that you desire instead of being jealous of what they've done glean confidence from their achievement knowing that if they've done it, you can do it too. One special principle that I've learned is if something has been done before it can be repeated. This means, if someone has climbed the toughest, most challenging mountain in the world and you have a desire to do the same, you now have an example of how to do it and what to do to get it done. The path has been paved for you so you don't have to rock your brain trying to figure it all out. All you need is to identify the principles that were used, practice and apply them to your situation and in time you will be able to get the same results. Comparison is not supposed to cripple you. Simply use it as a learning tool and enjoy your personal process!

It's Your Choice: Be Average or Be Extraordinary

92% of people do not achieve their goals. That's the majority of people in your city! This includes your family members and some of your closest friends. Here's a question for you, do you want to be like them? Compromising your dream for a paycheque, letting go of what's important to you because you feel stuck, and giving up hope of ever creating the kind of impact you always wanted? Do you want to be like everyone else? If you said "no" what are you going to do about it?

Did you know that if you start to build unshakable confidence in yourself YOU can help the world find a cure for cancer? Yes, YOU. If you start to take an interest in affairs around the world and actually really begin caring about others you could become apart of the solution to end human trafficking? You can build an orphanage and take homeless kids off the street. You can help to provide clean drinking water in areas like Cambodia, Haiti, and Africa. Yes! You, reading this blog post. YOU can create a whole new world for future generations if you start believing in yourself and working towards your goals now! There is no limit to the number of solutions you can create during your ONE well-lived lifespan.

Don't think of your dreams and goals as just a simple wish you've always had and would like to come true. No, if you only see it that way, chances are you most likely won't achieve them. Your goals require your commitment. It's till death do you part. There is no getting out of it. It's like Curtis Jackson (50 Cent, an entertainer) said: (you will either) "get rich or die tryin". It's all or nothing. You're either going to achieve your goal or die trying, but you can't be half committed.

When you start pursuing your dreams you'll see that it's worth your dedication because it's connected to another vision that is much bigger than you imagined. I'll give you an example of what I mean. When I started my business I knew that I wanted to help people transform their lives by pushing them to stop dreaming and start doing and equipping them to live their life with meaning. I didn't know that my desire to help people would turn into a mission to create ophranages worldwide for kids without parents. I had absolutely no idea that my small desire to create change in my community of goal-getters would lead to an initiative to help save kids around the world!

Your dream might just be to run a daycare from home so that you can take care of your kids, but after you get started it might expand into wanting to support sick kids hospital because a lot of your daycare students are disabled and now you have more compassion for sick kids. This compassion can turn into you going back to school, becoming a doctor and then moving to a third world country to open your own hospital for sick kids. My point is, you don't know where your goal is going to take you and that's why it's important for you to get started TODAY. Your dreams are connected to a much bigger vision than you think.

You don't know what will happen after you step out in faith and start pursuing your goals. So, let go of fear, give up your excuses, and jump on this rollercoaster of uncertainty to fulfill your purpose! This Is Why You Aren't Living Your Dreams Yet

Let's be honest, it's the end of the year. You started out with big dreams and creative ways to accomplish them, but how many did you actually achieve? If you said almost none, that's okay, because it's perfectly NORMAL!

92% of people did not achieve their goals this year. Can you guess why this happens? Do you think it's due to laziness? Or what about busyness? Maybe they had so much going on that they lacked clear focus and priorities, right?

If you didn't achieve your primary goals this year what is your reason? I'm going to give you time to think about it right now. Stop reading and identify everything that happened this year that led you away from your goals and stopped you from achieving them with the 12 months you had.

Now after you find a clear answer don't start beating yourself up! Take note of every distraction and obstacle that got in your way this year and find solutions to work through them so that you don't make the same mistakes when you go after these goals again!

My friend, this year is almost over, but it's not over yet. There are 6 weeks left and I believe that with the right support and action plan you can start crushing your goals TODAY!

If right now you're asking yourself if this is REALLY possible let me ask you a question. Why not? The only thing standing between you and your goals is you. How To Win In Life: Perseverance

Have you ever felt like you know your dreams are possible and you know that you are capable of achieving it, but it just seems so far away and to be honest you don't know where to start? Or what about you know where to start, but when you consider the big picture, the entire vision it all just feels overwhelming? I get it.

With only 61 days left of this year, I've been executing strategetic plans with my team and making adjustments as I go. I'll be honest with you, on days when we hit our goals and I see crystal clear results I feel energetic, excited and ready to tackle more assignments. However, when things slow down and results are barely dripping in I'm tempted to question whether all of my efforts are worth it. Through this journey, I've been reminded of the importance of one thing.


The truth is, the quality of your results depends on the intensity of your effort. If you want a successful marriage it only takes ONE spouse to practice the golden rule (treat others the way you want to be treated). When they extend respect, compassion, mercy, and unconditional love to the other spouse over time, with a little perseverance they will begin to see a return on their investment. The other spouse will naturally begin to do the same favors, offer the same support and give the same compliments. Together they will create a happy, peaceful, loving environment where both individuals feel appreciated, understood and accepted. 

The same is true in business. When you add value to your ideal clients, build relationships with them and help them know that you are on their side, without any hesitation, soon you will have a line up of people begging to work with you. This is proven science and continues to work for all of the worlds most successful businesses. However, these results don't come without perseverance.

What Is Your Dream?

Close your eyes and envision yourself crushing your goal by December 31st. What are some of the steps you took to get there? Who helped you? Did you use a coach? How long did it take you to get there?

Now stop and think about how you will feel after you've attained your goal. Take a deep breath and celebrate! You did it! You crushed your goal! What kind of emotions are you feeling? Are you excited? Nervous? Anxious for the future? Alright now write down why crushing this goal is important to you and list 10 people that will benefit from it and how they will benefit from it. Put this note somewhere visible so you can use it as a reminder on the days when you aren't motivated to pursue your goals.

Trust me, I know perseverance is not easy. It doesn't feel good and it can get boring, but you have to believe in yourself and your goal(s) so much that no matter how long it takes, no matter how much work is required, and no matter how many times you fail you won't let your dream(s) die. Today choose perseverance.

I believe that your goals are worth it and every lesson you learn is developing your character to turn you into an unstoppable leader. So what are you waiting for?! I Went M.I.A! What Happen?

Hello & Welcome Back!

I know! I didn't post last week and I'm super sorry! I was literally running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Lol, I have so many ideas I want to implement by the end of this year and I'm in crunch mode! Yet, how many of you know that no matter how much you hustle, pump out projects, and crush your targets as a SOLO entrepreneur and/or a big dreamer (project manager) aka the sole visionary

1. There is always a lot of work to do no matter how much you get done
2. At times depending on your workload it can become hard balancing multiple tasks at the same time without extra hands

So, I'm using THIS WEEK to...


Here's something you don't know about me, my mind is always in "evolution" mode. This means that I'm always looking for a lesson in everything I hear and experience. No matter where I am or what I'm doing, I'm always listening carefully for a golden idea that will help me to understand business, life, family, work, music and everything I do clearly. Did you catch that? I look for ways to understand a subject CLEARLY. 

My friend, if you want to hit bigger goals and maximize your potential, you must start doing this. When you fill up on "golden idea's" you become a gold mine. When you implement what you've learned (the golden idea), you start building a house with raw, pure, strong, gold. The foundation is unshakable, the walls are impenetrable, and the roof will hardly ever need repairs. The quality of your life, business, family, and where ever else you use this material will drastically improve, but first, you must organize yourself.

What we want is not just want more information, a better explanation, or a deep insightful lesson on something we already know. We are keeping our "antenna's" open for clarity.

Last week during my errand running and late night research attempts I realized that if I try to build my business on the foundation that I am currently using, which is at best, organized chaos I will burn out QUICKLY! Building an empire without structure yields more work in the long run. For example, when I don't organize the folders and worksheets in my hard drive after a few weeks I end up having to stop working to reorganize everything. This delays productivity and slows down my progress which we both know is a huge no, no! No one no matter what stage you're at in your business or big achievement wants to be slowed down or distracted in any way. 

To decrease disorganization I'm implementing small changes that will go a long way. Yep! That's right, I'm going back to the basics. You know, things like:

1. Time Management
2. Organization tools and apps like Evernote
3. Using a schedule/calendar
4. Setting reminders
5. Decluttering
And so on...

A wise person once told me that we can convert time into greatness and they further broke down how time can be used to produce anything we want in life. This week, instead of continuing to build and create a mess that I will have to clean up later, I'm going to use my time to get organized, create systems, create a practical routine and then get back to building my empire.

What It Really Takes To Crush Your goals

There is one question I hear over and over again

"How can I start crushing my goals starting TODAY?"

My guess is since you were enticed by the title of this post, you've probably wrestled with this question too. I know you think about crushing your goals every day and maybe you've been told that you need a great amount of self-discipline or focus to achieve results, but that's not true.

So What is Stopping You? 

The answer to this is simple. You are. What is inside of you is what determines what comes out of you. Jesus said it this way, "it's not what goes into the body that defiles it, it's what comes out of it". Of course, he was also talking about spiritual things however, we can't ignore the practical application we get from this. What is in you is what you will produce. 

This is similar to the idea that what you think about is reflected in how you behave. If you believe in yourself then you will achieve anything you want. If you believe in your goals, your mission, and your purpose, you'll change the world and your community around you. What you believe determines your actions.

So, Let's Get Real!

I have a lot of people reach out to me for help, advice, and practical tips on how to achieve their goals. If I had to put a number on it I would estimate I get anywhere between 10-20 messages a day from people just like you, seeking a way to make their dreams come true. Despite that, I know only a small amount of the people who contact me will actually apply the advice they've been given. How do I know this? Science.

Research proves that only 8% of people actually crush their goals. That means only 8% of people buckle down and engage with their goals long enough to get results. The remaining 92% either continue struggling or give up and never experience their dreams.

Think about this, most people in North America have access to unlimited information and resources. Anything we want to achieve is a simple online search away. We have tons of blogs, articles, videos, and books that guide us through how to go from where we are to where we want to be. Still, only 8% of people apply the knowledge they have to achieve their goal.

Why Do Only 8% of People Crush Their Goal(s)? 

I knew that finding the answer and understanding this issue would revolutionize how I coach and support my clients so 
I spent time studying, critically thinking, researching and analyzing WHY such a small percentage of people attain the exact results they want in life while the majority struggles.

Here are 3 simple truths I found:

1. Vision (a proven step-by-step strategy)
2. Accountability (mentor, coach, group)
3. Support (community)

Vision is the foundation of every great achievement and the power source behind getting results you can build on. Having a clear picture of where you're going and how you're going to get there (a step-by-step strategy) makes it easier to resist the temptation of giving into temporary pleasures that are really just distractions, overcome roadblocks, and preserve through storms and challenges in your daily life.

Accountability ensures that you live with integrity and follow through on the promises you make to yourself to crush your goal(s). Solomon said "two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one falls, the other can reach out and help but someone who falls alone is in real trouble". We are 76.7% more likely to achieve our goals when we have accountability.

Support comes from being around like-minded people. You can find it in friendships, community, mentorship, training, and so on. With the right people around you, pushing and challenging you to advance to your next level it will be a lot easier for you to navigate through daily distractions and soar from one success to the next.

If your goal-getting strategy doesn't include all 3 of these principles you will not crush major, long-term goals. These 3 essentials are the core of goal crushing. Without them, you will struggle to keep your goals front of mind and waver in your commitment to pursuing them. With them, you will stay motivated and highly focused, take action every day to make your dreams a reality and maximize your time so that a busy schedule will not deter you from achieving your long-term goals.

Do You Have What It Takes To Crush Your Goals By The End of December 2018?

What is the definition of a goal? 

According to dictionary.com, a goal is the result or achievement toward which effort is directed. All this means is a goal is a specific result or achievement you want to attain so you direct your energy and effort to attain it. That's simple enough, right? But what does it take to crush your goals? Is it just a matter of doing what has to be done to get your desired results or is there more involved? You probably guessed right, there is more!

Most of the time when we pursue a new goal it is bigger than
- who we are right now (our character)
- what we have right now (the number of resources we have access to)
- what we can do right now (our professional and personal skills)
- what we've done before (our overall experience)

So this challenges us to grow on every level and we feel uncomfortable. Almost like being a fish out of water. We doubt ourselves because we've never done it and aren't sure if we're really capable of crushing this, we feel underprepared because we don't have all of the resources we need (support, money, books, etc), we are insecure about our skills because we have no experience and we don't know where to start. So most days, we're overwhelmed by the big picture and we feel lost. Am I right? Lol, well this ends right now. You don't have to struggle through another goal. Not on my watch!

What Does it Mean to Crush Your Goals?

Crushing your goal means you get the exact result you set out to get within a predetermined amount of time. So how will YOU know if you've attained your goal? Your goal has to be measurable. It has to have a specific target or objective and a deadline. The objective is what you want to accomplish and the deadline sets a timeframe for when you will accomplish it.


Goal planning
Target/objective: lose 10 lbs
Deadline: December 31st, 2018

Once this is established you're able to further break your goal down into baby steps to ensure that you're on track to hit your big goal which is due in December. Does this make sense?

So how do you know if you have what it takes to crush your goals by the end of December 2018? Here are a few questions to help you decide.

Question 1: "Do I believe in my goal?"

I know you talk about it all the time, see it in your dreams every night, spend time imagining the endless possibilities you can create, and you can't stop thinking about it, but do you REALLY believe in your goal? Is it something you can't live without accomplishing or is it only something you hope or wish you will accomplish ONE DAY. The evidence of your belief is in having a written plan for how you will achieve your goal and applying practical steps to make it happen. No excuses, no compromise and no deviating from your goal.

Research proves that you are 39.5% more likely to accomplish your goals when you write them down and 76.7% more likely to achieve them when you have reliable accountability. Accountability comes in many forms, but the most common forms include a successful friend, mentor, or coach. All of these are valid and will serve you to get you from where you are now to where you want to be, however, you have to be very selective when choosing a form of accountability. You want someone who believes in you, has walked in your shoes and can push you to get to the next level. Someone with proven results and experience crushing challenging life goals.

Question 2: "Do I believe in myself?"

To figure this out right now I want you to ask yourself these question and to answer it honestly. Don't worry no one is there! You won't be judged for your answer (and by the way, there really is no wrong answer). Okay, are you ready?

Close your eyes and imagine your big picture goal. What will it take to get there? What are all of the steps you will need to take to get the final result? What are all of the big and small sacrifices you'll have to make to live your long-term goal?

Now once you've honestly answered these questions continue to answer the ones below:

Do I really want to spend my life pursuing this goal?
Can I attain this goal?
How will attaining this goal change my life?
Are my skills aligned with what I want to achieve?
If not what area or skill do I need to improve to get the results I want?

Okay, now tell me, do you believe in yourself? Out of 5 how confident are you in your capabilities, your knowledge, and your experience to get you to where you want to be? If you said 3 or higher, Wooooouuuuu hoooouuuu! Go for it! But if you said anything less, it's time to work on your personal belief system because this will affect your overall success in life.

Question 3: "How do I get results in the shortest amount of time?

Do you feel like you need to read hundreds of books to understand the concept before you start? What about attend multiple seminars on the subject, watch tons of video's online and then finally you'll be able to make your first attempt to crush your goal? Is that how you practice goal planning?

If you said yes, you're not the only one. In our world, having access to free unlimited information paved the way for us to be hungry for knowledge and slow to take action. With this, many people (including me at one time) feel they need to know ALL of the options and facts before committing to one route. Although having knowledge can empower us, sometimes too much information (which I call information overload) can lead to indecision, over-analyzing, and limited progress because we never get moving!

Stop cluttering your mind with all of the information on how others have achieved a similar goal to yours and stop trying to create your own strategy out of the pieces you put together from the different sources you find online. There's an easier way. Here's my secret

Identify your roadblocks:

Get clear on the following:

What has stopped you from getting started?
Have you attempted this goal in the past? 
What has stopped you from getting results?
What distracts you when you get started?
What discourages you from continuing?
Do you constantly start and stop projects in your life?
Are you stuck in an unproductive cycle?
What inspires you to pursue your goals when you get distracted?
And so on...

Dig deep and identify the obstacles, roadblocks, and distractions you encounter that lead you away from the results you want. The key is to find patterns and cycles that you have entertained for years. Find similarities and root issues that have been in your family for a while.

Trust me, this doesn't have to be complicated. Consider simple things like punctuality. Are you always late? Is there anyone else in your family that shares your prone to lateness? If so, this is a roadblock and it's working against the success you are trying to create. You have to deal with it. Before you can start crushing your goals you have to know what possible obstacles and distractions will appear and cause you to deviate from your plan. Without this awareness, you will fall into the same traps time and time again. Trust me, I've done it and I've seen it happen, many times!

So, everything that I mentioned in this blog is simple, BUT it's not easy. It takes some serious hard work to crush your goal and move onto bigger, more challenging goals. Thankfully, we're here to help.
