This Is Your Sign

July 26, 2018

Welcome back!

Can you believe that this is the LAST week of the invest in yourself challenge?! Guys, where did the time go! I feel like I'm just getting started...maybe that's because I went M.I.A for a week in June but we won't talk about that lol!

I hope you enjoyed this challenge as much as I did! I feel rejuvenated and ready to take on the world (literally). Let's spend our last week doing something CRAZY! Are you ready?!

Let's Gooooo!

I think for the final challenge of this month we should go out with a bang, don't you? I mean, we should do something that we have never done before but have been dreaming about doing for a LONG time! Something that scares us because there is no plan B once we get started, but at the same time it excites us because we know the future possibilities connected to this decision are massive!

"Stop dreaming, start doing."
- Tee Forever

The challenge I'm giving you over the next 5 days is to accomplish (or at least get started) on a goal that you ALWAYS envisioned yourself accomplishing. This challenge is going to be easy because you already have a blueprint. You've been DREAMING about this for SO LONG that you know all of the side streets and back allies to get on the road that you want. You got this, don't doubt yourself.

This challenge will look different for everyone because we all have different dreams and desires, but the outcome and the experience of the dream will feel the same because we've all been waiting FOREVER to crush them!

Don't Leave Me Hanging

Com'on, you know it's taken you way too long to get to this point. You have been looking for a sign, praying for confirmation, wondering whether or not this was really meant for you. Well, guess what, NOW is your time and THIS POST IS YOUR SIGN! Get out of your own way, stop allowing fear to distract you from your prize. It's time to GO GET IT!

I've Been There!

Just a few years ago I was that girl who had crazy big dreams and I didn't know where to start or how to accomplish everything without all the fancy resources I thought I needed. I strongly believed that my vision was possible, but I didn't know how to overcome the challenge of finding where to start and taking the steps to make it happen. To be completely honest I thought God was just going to come down from heaven, put it all together and then say "Here Theresa, you prayed so hard for it so it's all yours, enjoy!" but I quickly realized God that is smarter than that. He's not going to give me something that I'm not prepared to handle. In working to achieve my goal I'm being trained to be a suitable manager when I finally get it. It all works together! To get results you have to put in the work and the work you put in develops your skills, knowledge, and confidence.

"The person you become while pursuing your goals
is really worth more than the reward of the goal itself."
- Tee Forever

Although I'm proud of everything I've accomplished so far, it's taken me a while to shake myself out of being entitled and expecting things to come easy. Since I've gone through the process allow me to save you some time! To live out your biggest dreams it's going to require a tremendous amount of work from you. You will try and fail and try again, but you will learn valuable lessons that you would never understand from reading a book. Believe in yourself, trust God and THIS WEEK start crushing your most difficult life goal. Build your business, start writing your book, Work on your album! Whatever it is, start making yourself uncomfortable so that you can reach new heights this year. Start NOW is YOUR time!

Until next time,

Theresa Forever

It’s Time for A Mental Detox!

July 21, 2018

Welcome back to the Tee Forever blog for goal getters. I’m super excited to be continuing this challenge with you! If this is your first time here, what’s up! I’m glad you decided to sneak a peek into my world! We are in the second week of a challenge that we started last month but didn’t get to finish, you can find out why here. In this post we’re jumping right into the goods so grab some coffee and your favorite snack (mine is kernals popcorn, but I know it might be too early for that haha!) and let’s dive right in!

Ready, Set, Go!

I’m pretty sure that if you’re here you value self-education, you’re a goal-getter, and you’re ready to take things up to the next level. *High five* I’m with you! For the next two weeks we are investing in ourselves starting with this mind challenge. No more entertaining random thoughts that don’t inspire us to go after our dreams, no more putting our brain to sleep after a long day of hard work, and no more allowing negative conversations to fill our mind.

We are going on a MENTAL DETOX. Yes, I said detox! Lol. We are going to get rid of all of the mental junk that we’ve collected over the years, months, weeks, and even the last few days without knowing it. None of our thoughts will be left unturned. Why is this important? Because our thoughts are the foundation of everything that we do. They become our actions so before we go any further let’s check our thoughts!

“Watch your thoughts for they become words.
Watch your words for they become actions.
Watch your actions for they become habits.
Watch your habits for they become character.
Watch your character for it become your destiny.”
Lao Tzu

Step 1

Before you read part 2, which has step two for this exercise you should spend at least 30 mins doing the following.

  1. Envision your life in 1 year from today.
·       What kind of lifestyle will you have?
·       Will you still be working at the same place?
·       Will you still talk and behave the same way?
·       Who will you be within the next year?

Write it down. Spend about 5 minutes picturing your life in a year.

2.  After 5 minutes is over think about every possible obstacle and reason you could fail in your attempt to become the person you envision. Spend about 10 minutes on this and write down everything that comes to mind.

3.  Now spend 15 minutes finding solutions for everything that you anticipate could be a problem for you in the future. Write down every possible solution you can think of beside the obstacles listed above in step 2.

Now after completing this exercise pause and think about how do you feel.

Amazing right!? I do this about once every 3 months to empty my mind of all the junk I’ve picked up without and to renew my strength and courage as I pursue my goals.

Believe In Yourself

There is nothing new under the sun. Every challenge that we encounter has an expiration date and is solvable. You’re smart. Nothing is beyond your reach and no problem comes without a solution. You have the resources and the skills to overcome and work through anything. Your success is guaranteed if you’re willing to put in the work finding answers.

“It always seems impossible until it’s done.”
Nelson Mandela

Spending time to invest in yourself is one of the best things you will EVER do. A mental detox is a part of a healthy lifestyle. Practicing this on a consistent basis will help you to become a clear, sharp thinker and visionary leader. Trust me, you will thank me later!

Until next time, xoxo!

It's Time For A Mental Detox (Part 2)

Welcome to part two of the Invest In Yourself Challenge! If this is your first time here and you would like to catch up on part one you can start here

Guys, I’ve been on cloud nine since we started this challenge last month. The long term effects of investing in yourself is going to be crazy! We are literally transforming and evolving into the people that we know we're capable of becoming. Right now, with the wise investment of our time we are sharpening our skills, strengthening our mindset and creating new lives for ourselves. This is worth everything we're putting into it!

My hope is that you’re not only doing the exercises that I share here on the blog, but that you’re also digging into some really good books and using this month to focus on implementing everything that you’re learning. Investing in yourself is not just about collecting more knowledge. It’s about targeting a specific area(s) and investing all of your resources into strengthening it until you get the results you want.
“There is no better reward
than the results you get from
personal development.”

Most of you know that I’m a self-improvement junkie! I love reading books that deepen my understanding and broaden my perspective. I see life as one big learning experience full of adventures and wonder. With this perspective I can easily enjoy every minute of the good times and find valuable lessons in every bad time.

Let’s Go!

“Strength & growth come
only through continuous effort & struggle.”
Napoleon Hill

So, now that you’ve done the first exercise, comment below and tell me if you’ve noticed any difference in your thought process. It could be something as small as, you now find it easier to come up with solutions instead of focusing on problems, or it could be that you catch negative thoughts faster and nip them in the butt right away instead of dwelling on it like you used to. Whatever it is big or small, let’s celebrate your victories!

After doing the exercise I mentally felt lighter. It was like I had cleaned up all of the junk and made room for clear, sober ideas to flow again.

Maintain Your Clarity & Vision

Now that your mind is clear of most of the junk and distractions that you accumulated over time you now have to maintain your clarity. Over the next 7 days I want you to try these 2 things.

1. Stop Reading To Learn

When I did this it changed EVERYTHING! I used to read books related to where I saw myself in 3-5 years, but guess what? Those books couldn’t help me get from point A, where I was to point B, my next best step. I was collecting information that would be helpful in the future, but it was useless for where I was starting from. I had to stop reading for the sake of learning and start reading to implement.

Read to figure out your next step not to store information for later because trust me, you’ll spend time reading a really informative book and once your done you will feel like you accomplished something, but in a few months you’ll forget everything lol and it won't be useful to you in the future. Trust me, I've done it!

2. Protect Your Time

Once I got clear on what I want I stopped procrastinating and allowing distractions to steal my time. To be honest, “free time” is not apart of my vocabulary. I am intentional about my schedule and through practicing this exercise I became 100% committed to set activities everyday. We know that habits and routines, whether good or bad, will always lead to automatic results.

Instead of allowing your bad habits to flourish and produce consequences that work against your dreams and desires commit yourself to establishing healthy habits and routines that work with who you plan on becoming and where you see yourself going.

This is What it’s All About

Invest in yourself now so that in a few short months and even years to come you will be able to reap the benefits from your blood, sweat, and tears (self-discipline). Don’t waste the time that you have right now. For the next 7 days be intentional! Focus on distinct personality traits, character flaws, or skills that you need to develop to advance to the next level. You can do this! And the good thing is, you’re not doing it alone. Let’s crush this challenge together *high five*.

Until next time, xoxo!

Are You Ready!?

July 12, 2018

Wow! I promise this won't happen again!

I went a WEEK without blogging or giving you any goodies! That's nuts! Man, June was a hectic month. I had so many projects, deadlines, and goals that I had to reluctantly put my blog and everything else on hold to meet the immediate demands.

While I took a break I’m sure you were busy keeping up with the Invest In Yourself challenge (you can catch up starting here). What have you done so far? Holla at me! Let me know how your progressing and where I can help.

I know that we didn’t get to walk through a full 4 weeks of this challenge so, instead of moving on to another one let's buckle down and really dig into this one. I'm extending this challenge so that we can get the FULL BENEFITS from practicing these principles.

This challenge is meant for you to priortize your personal growth. I know that you understand the importance of continual learning and I know that you believe you have something to offer the world and you want to maximize your life, however, if you never start implementing the things that we talk about here on the blog you will never maximize your life. Knowledge without execution is a waste. Don’t get stuck in your invisible comfort zone that makes you feel safe. You were made for more!

I know you’re not the kind of person to spend your life dreaming, but never achieving. I know you are not a professional procrastinator. THIS my friend is the purpose of the challenge! This is why I blog! To help you move from point A to point B.

If you’ve been doing the Invest In Yourself challenge since last month with me, I want you to comment below and tell me what of kind of things you’ve been doing to Invest In Yourself and the kinds of results you’ve been getting. If you don’t feel comfortable commenting send me an email! :) There are no excuses, I want to hear from you!

Keeping in line with this month’s theme I have a question for all of my regular readers. Are you ready?

Why do you read my blog? I mean what keeps you coming back!? I want to know how I can serve you better and improve my overall service to you! Fill out this quick survey and let me hear your thoughts! Thanks in advance for the feedback and get ready for your next self-improvement challenge on Saturday at 11 am (EST)!

Until next time! *Mwah* Xoxo,

Theresa Forever
