So What If They Don't Believe In You

January 2, 2019

I took a two-week break from blogging, social media, and everything work related to rest and spend some time in solitude. I knew in advance that January was going to be a very busy month so I scheduled the time away to re-focus, set priorities, and get creative. We're now in 2019 and I can't wait to inspire you to crush your biggest goals for this year! In 2019 you can expect me to challenge you in every area of your life with the goal of helping you to achieve what I call "whole success".

Whole success is achieving your major goals while still nurturing other important areas of your life like quality relationships, finances, and so on. Over the next 12 months, I'll be sharing my personal strategy to overcoming yourself and getting what you want in life. If you're ready to stop dreaming and start doing let's go!
Real Talk

As a coach for goal-getters and people who need help crushing major life goals I've noticed that a common roadblock for people is that no one supports their vision/goals or the people they value don't believe in them, underestimate them, or devalue them. We like to think that these attitudes and "negative vibes" from people around us doesn't affect us, but the truth is it does.

I worked with a client who had a very positive outlook on life, great energy, and determination to achieve their goals, but they couldn't figure out why they had a habit of starting things they were passionate about but always leaving something incomplete, hence not finishing the project/goal. After doing some digging in the first few weeks we found an underlying pattern of self-sabotage related to feelings of insecurity and fear. These feelings were connected to things people said to them, said about them, or the way people treated them. Long story short before we could start making progress they needed to properly address the issues and burn the bridges, committing to complete transformation. They had to uncover their life experiences, stare their mistakes, flaws, and weaknesses in the face and still choose to believe in themself.

"Whether you think you can
or you think you can't - you're right."
- Henry Ford

Believing that you can achieve something is the first mountain that you will climb to crush your goals this year. You don't need others to approve of your journey or assist you to your destination. If you believe in yourself you're well on your way. Will it be a lonely journey? Yes, maybe in the beginning but as you pursue your goals you will meet like-minded people who will become your inspiration and supporters. Until then read books about people who inspire you. Keep the fire blazing on your own and maintain a sober focus that helps you to find solutions rather than being weighed down by opposition. Look for reasons to believe that your goals are possible. When you start feeling discouraged or getting distracted remind yourself of all the things you've already accomplished (big and small).

"The journey of a thousand miles
begins with one step."
- Lao Tzu

You've got this! Don't minimize your goals because others don't believe it's possible and don't fall off your goal crushing ban wagon because people don't believe in you. You know yourself better than anyone else and especially if it's been done before why can't you be the next person to do it? The future is in your hands. Don't let 2019 slip through your fingers. Work through your fears, minimize distractions and CRUSH YOUR GOALS! Until next time, xoxo!
