My Secret Sauce To Financial Freedom

April 29, 2019

Here are a few things you may not know about me. My two favorite foods in the world are Mexican and Italian *mmm*. I am working towards becoming debt-free (still paying off my fabulous student loan). Also, I plan on one day (soon) becoming a person of affluence. Why is this important to me? Because I believe that money is an unlimited resource that solves a lot of problems, can help a lot of people and has the potential to create positive changes in the world if managed wisely.

One of my ultimate goals is to build or support orphanages around the world starting in Africa providing opportunities for children without parents to not only be well taken care of but to also have access to the best education, food, water, healthcare, and mentorship programs to develop their gifts. I believe in equal opportunity so if I can do something to create more of it, then you can definitely count me in!

At the beginning of this year, I started things off a little differently. I didn't want to do what most people do which is set a new year resolution, commit to sacrificing and changing for a while, and start a new diet (lol everyone starts a new diet in January okay!). No, this year I wanted to experience lasting change, permanent growth, and deeper satisfaction and gratitude in my life.

It's interesting how it all worked out because I wasn't exactly clear on HOW I was going to achieve this but I knew that 2019 was going to be my year of breakthrough. Long story short, one of my amazing mentors, Toyin Crandell, is a master with money and invited me to join her life-changing coaching program called Money Mindset Shift (MMS for short).

Now, keep in mind that although I had heard about how transformative her program is I didn't really understand how it could help me to achieve my goals of building my business so that I could achieve my ultimate goal of supporting orphans in Africa, but I decided to have an open mind, try something new, invest in myself, and enroll in it anyway. After working with her through the first section I was amazed by how accurate and insightful the teachings and exercises were with diagnosing key roadblocks in my life.

When I tell you that going through this program was like having life-changing surgery, I am not kidding! This program literally ripped me apart. It challenged every part of who I am. My thoughts, attitude, behavior, beliefs, everything! Nothing was off limits. Although it was a bit scary being vulnerable and honest with myself and others, it was also rewarding because I gained special insight into myself that I wasn't aware of before.

This program didn't only show me the direct connection between my beliefs and my behavior, but it also taught me how to create beliefs that will help me to better align myself with my money goals and break the generational curse of lack and not having enough in my family. The Struggle Is Real!

April 24, 2019

How many times are you going to tell yourself "I will start next year, maybe next time, I'm not ready, this is bad timing..." and the list goes on. How many times are you going to create a plan and not follow through, not get the exact results you want, and not push yourself to go beyond what you're used to doing? Aren't you tired? Don't try to lie to me and say you're not because I can hear your frustration screaming "girl, I need help!"

Listen to me, you are not alone. Many people have been where you are and have worked through the hardships. Many people are exactly where you are and are trying to figure out their next step. Many people will be where you are and they'll need someone like you (with experience) to help them work through their challenges. Now I understand this isn't easy and this is probably the last thing you want to hear, but STICK WITH IT. Don't allow procrastination, fear, overthinking, lack of knowledge, lack of resources, or anything else to steal your mission in life/goals.

Related Post: Three Ways You Can Make This Your Best Year

I get it, getting results is not easy and that's why most people give up on their goals and settle for what they can get, but you my friend are not average. In your heart, you know that giving up on your goals is not an option. You know that every sacrifice you make to get one step closer to your goals is what you need to do to become the person you know you're meant to be. You know that you can't allow the everyday pressures of being a "grown up" and having major responsibilities deter you from your goals.

Believe it or not, every opportunity, blessing, and open door is meant to work together to bring you closer to your goals not distract you from it. Let me make this plain, your kids, your job, your side business, your goal of launching a blog or book, your goal to lose 10 lbs, your goal to have time freedom while earning more money is all meant to work together to develop your character. You don't have to sacrifice one to pursue another. Every challenge you face is meant to produce discipline and character in you.

Related Post: Challenge: Turn 2019 Into Your Year of Action

Don't allow the struggle of attaining your goal and creating the "perfect balance" to discourage you from pursuing it. If someone was able to crush this goal before then you now have a model that you can follow to replicate the same results. trust me, I know, this is one of those things where it sounds easy in theory, but it's hard to apply and the reason is that we are lazy, comfortable, and deceived.

We resist doing what we know would improve our lives because although we know change is good, it makes us uncomfortable. We have to learn a new normal. We have to stop doing what we're familiar with, discipline ourselves, and practice something that doesn't come naturally to us like eating more fruits and vegetables, reading one book a month, living on less than we make, and so on. We KNOW logically that these principles work and if applied to our lives we will be healthier, wiser, and richer but for some reason, we don't apply it. It's because we've confused knowing with doing.

You can know all the principles in the world related to crushing your goal and still be stuck in procrastination. You can have all the knowledge in the world about how to build wealth and manage your money responsibly and still be broke. You can have the best nutritionist in your city work with you for FREE and still struggle to hit your weight loss goals. Why? Because knowing how to do something is not the problem. The problem is that you aren't applying what you know. The knowledge that you have is stored up in your subconscious and conscious mind waiting for you to put it to use. It's begging to be put into action!

You have to, for the sake of your potential future and everyone that will be impacted by you and your work, give up your excuses, distractions, fears, and complaints. No one is going to push you to be great in the same way that you will push yourself. The struggle is real, but your ability to overcome them is even stronger. Invest in yourself, make time to think clearly, and be resourceful. Until next time, it's your girl. Xo!

Are Your Goals Realistic?

April 17, 2019

Have you ever put all of your time, effort, and money into pursuing a goal that you later found out was completely unrealistic for where you were starting from? My friend, you are not alone! Over the years I've had to learn the hard way that a goal is meant to be challenging but not impractical. It's meant to push you to step out on faith, take risks, and build your character, while at the same time remain within your reach as something you can actually attain.

What Exactly Is A Goal?

By definition (according to a goal is a result or achievement which effort is directed. All that means is, a goal is something that you work towards. It shouldn't be so easy that you can accomplish it overnight. It is not a to-do list item. Having goals takes you on a journey of self-mastery, personal fulfillment, and growth. You can not hit your target without first going through a process.

I Had To Learn The Hard Way

Just last year while working full time I had a goal to increase my income by only doing things I enjoy while spending more time with my girls (at the time they were both under 2). Shortly after returning to work from parental leave (which was one year) I was fired. That's right, I was no longer receiving my cozy salary or benefits. I had to figure out how to generate enough income to survive using the skills I already had because I did not want to waste time and money going to school to learn something I didn't enjoy.

To my surprise opportunities to work from home started coming in almost immediately without me having to distribute my resume or even mention that I was looking for a job. I had friends calling me to ask if I wanted to join their team as well as friends of friends (because my friends would refer me) asking if I could work with them on my schedule starting at the pay rate of my choice! This was absolutely incredible! Prior to losing my job, I had zero offers on the table and no idea how I was actually going to make money doing things I enjoy and now all of a sudden work opportunities were literally pouring in from everywhere.

Related Post:

Can you guess what my response was to all of the lucrative offers I received? "Thanks, but no thanks. I'm going to focus on my business" What!? I know, I'm crazy, right? There I was jobless and I turned down multiple work from home offers doing things that come naturally to me. What was I thinking? I was thinking about my long term goals.

Having a vision means that you are clear on what your long term goals are. It doesn't mean that you know how you're going to get there, it just means that you know what you want. You have a clear picture of what you're capable of creating with your life.

Now, this is where I went wrong. Instead of seeing these work opportunities for exactly what they were, opportunities to have a steady source of income until I got back on my feet I saw them as distractions stealing time away from my vision (long-term goals). Now, why do I say I went wrong? Because had I done things differently I would have had more money to scale and potentially triple my income! However, what happened instead was due to having completely unrealistic goals! Are you ready?

Instead of working smart I chose to work hard. I spent tons of money to generate leads (for those of you who are not familiar with business lingo leads are people that would benefit from my business service, blog and so on) and in the end, the pay off was very small. I now understand why this failed, but when I was walking through this I couldn't see past my frustration and disappointment.

Unrealistic Goals

The truth is my goal at the time was very unrealistic. Although I was working with a high ticket business coach, mentors, and smart advisers it wasn't practical for me to think that my business would instantly yield the results that I wanted simply because I was putting more time and money into it. It was during this time that I learned the principle of working smarter, not harder and I learned how to distinguish between realistic and unrealistic goals.

A realistic goal is a goal that takes you one step closer to your final outcome. It is one of the major milestones along your journey. It marks the beginning of a new chapter in your life. It takes you from point A to point B and helps you to stay on track with your life vision (goals).

An unrealistic goal does the opposite. With this type of goal, you are subconsciously trying to skip steps, maybe even avoid the time investment that is required to crush your goal. You are thinking in terms of quick results and although you might not admit it, with this mindset you're probably looking for a short cut.

Trust me, I get it! This is something I experienced just last year. Some goals take longer than others. Instead of enjoying the process of becoming who you're meant to be by learning what it takes to crush your goal, you'd rather get the results immediately even if this means skipping a few steps in the process, right? But we know this never works and will always end in disappointment so why do we still look for short cuts?

I don't know, but here's what I learned. While working toward your goals you must continue to be responsible, sober in your decision making, and diligent about following through on your written plans. Is it hard? Yes. Will it take some time to see results? Of course. But can you do it? Absolutely!

I'm so blessed to have learned this lesson early in my business. Understanding the difference between realistic and unrealistic goals will help you to have the right expectations, make knowledgeable informed decisions, and work a plan that will take you closer to your goals. Until next time! Xo.

My Goal For The Next 90 Days

April 15, 2019

Hey goal-getters! It's been a while since I shared my goals and the things that I am currently working on with you so as I started to review my goals for the next 90 days (3months) I thought "why not include you in the process" and share my full, honest results once the 90 days are up!

This is going to be fun and I'm so excited that I get to share my journey with you so that you can see how I turn my goals into reality through diligence, prioritizing, and following through with my plans.

When you think about the process logically, it's pretty easy. All you really need is a solid plan and the discipline to follow the plan, right? I find that the biggest challenge comes when you try to follow your plan to manifest your goals because new internal distractions arise like fear, excuses, procrastination,  and over thinking that can steal your focus and keep you stuck trying to figure out how to overcome these struggles rather than working on your goals.

My intention is not only to inspire you and help you see that your goals are possible and you are capable of turning them into reality, but also to push you out of your cozy office, couch, or off your bed and into living your purpose! I want you to become a person who takes action and makes things happen because I can tell you right now that action is one of the key missing ingredients in your goal crushing formula. You will not go farther than your ability to push yourself and no one will do the work for you. You have to commit and work for the results you want.

How I Structure My Goals

After spending the time to craft a detailed 10-year goal plan, I begin to work backward and think about what I did at the 3-year mark to get the big 10-year result. Does that make sense? So with my 10-year goal in mind, I think of all the necessary steps I took to get my desired results, then I think about the steps I would have taken 7 years prior to getting the 10-year result.

After I have the 3-year plan written out I work backward one more time and think about the things I will need to complete this year to get to where I need to be in 3 years. I then turn this plan into my goals for 2019 and convert them into four 90-day cycles that have very clear specific outcomes. I know that simply reading this can be a little confusing so for all of my visual learners, here's an example.

2019 Goal Calendar

Cycle 1:

Cycle 2:

Cycle 3:

Cycle 4:

This strategy is similar to using the SIMPLE goal planning method, but it's more precise. The reason this works is because you know exactly what you want to achieve (your end goal) within a limited amount of time (365 days, 52 weeks, 12 months, 1 year) so when you work backward and use the cycles it helps you to measure the exact outcomes that you want and you'll easily see where and how your strategy is working well, where it needs improvement, and what lessons you can learn from the experience.

With this system, you never lose because even if you don't get the result you want by the end of the 90 day period you will gain clear insight that will help you to plan your next 90 days better so that you will have a higher chance of hitting your target! #WorkSmarterNotHarder *wink!*

Related Post: Are Your Goals Realistic?

My first cycle at the beginning of this year was focused on developing myself so that I'm in a better position to achieve my goals mentally and physically. I invested a lot into resources, programs, and training that would challenge me to face my fears, overcome my obstacles, and start doing things that I've never done before (which made me uncomfortable), but were vital to my growth and overall success.

Now, we're in the month of April so we're in the second cycle. My goal for these 90 days is to create a passive stream of income. As a coach I talk to many of you who are struggling with procrastination, overthinking, being easily distracted, disorganized, and lack the knowledge to move from where you are to where you want to be (crushing your goals). As someone who has wrestled with frustration for years over my lack of goal achievement and progress, I totally get it! Pursuing and achieving a goal is not easy and although you sometimes have the tools you don't always know how to use them. Can I get an amen?

So my plan is to launch an online course that will not only address your very real issues and roadblocks that hinder your success like the things I mentioned above, but I will walk you through a simple action plan to get started and stop sabotaging yourself. This will be all about taking action.

We live in a world where information is everywhere. Anything you want to learn is available to you online. You can choose to read about it in a blog, watch an educational video or tutorial online, or even listen to good information while you commute through the city. There is an unlimited amount of resources available to you right now so you're problem isn't not knowing what to do. The problem is you.

It's been years and you're still in the same position because you haven't taken action. You're not making progress because your goals are not your top priority. You haven't fully committed to the process of making your goals a reality. You are self-sabotaging yourself and eventually, you will suffer the pain of regret for your decisions (or lack of good decisions).

This course will help you to get clear on exactly what you want to achieve in your lifetime and walk you through the steps to make it a reality. It's all about taking action baby! I'm so excited about it because I know that it will dramatically change your life if you're someone who is ready for your next chapter, ready to maximize your potential and ready to create the life that you envision for yourself.

Crushing your goals will help you to become free to manage your own time without a boss breathing down your neck, free to spend more time with the people you value the most without worrying about how you're going to pay the rent, free to make your own decisions about your life, and free to mentor, serve, and impact your community. If you want to join the waitlist to be notified when the course is launched sign up now.

Now It's Your Turn!

So, now that I've shared my goal for the next 90 days I want you to complete your own 90-day cycle and share it with me! You can comment below or over on my Instagram. I love connecting with you and I can't wait to hear about your journey! Until next time, xo!

Which Will You Suffer The Pain of Discipline or The Pain of Regret?

April 10, 2019

What are you doing today to ensure that you don't have any regrets tomorrow? I mean really, I want you to think about it. Are you making decisions now based on where you want to be (your long-term goals) or do you make decisions based on what's convenient, available, and easy (short-term gratification)? Do you consider the consequences of your actions or do you just go with the flow and follow your feelings? What are you doing today to make sure that you live a life without pain and regret tomorrow?

This question really started haunting me (in a good way!) a few years ago when I read the quote by Jim Rohn " we must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment." After being hit with this liberating reality I made a commitment to myself to always find or create a way to achieve my goals and maximize my life. Why was this important to me? Because I knew that I was created to live an extraordinary life.

If you consistently read this blog and have a desire to turn your goals into reality then I strongly believe the same is true about you. You're a goal-getter. You have tons of creative ideas and big dreams that you want to manifest but you're not quite sure where to start and don't feel like you're well equipped, have the right resources, support, or skills. But guess what? None of these things can stop you from living a life without regret.

The Problem

The only thing that can stop you, is you. Only you can procrastinate, overthink and magnify your problems, continue to be undisciplined, and constantly self-sabotage your way out of amazing opportunities. Only you have the power to break destructive patterns in your life and move from being stuck in a stifling comfort zone and feeling lost to having a clear vision of what you want and where you're going.

Life doesn't get easier as you get older. Things don't just begin to magically fall into place. Why do you think there are people that you know right now who are older than you, yet they still struggle and live pay cheque to pay cheque? Don't you think they once had dreams of a better life? Don't you think they had goals they wanted to achieve and plans they wanted to execute? But what happen? How did they end up where they are, living with regret, wishing they had worked smarter, invested in themselves and made better decisions?  They simply waited too long before they kicked into action.

The Solution

Taking action is the ONLY solution for every challenge your currently facing. Taking action doesn't mean blind enthusiasm or neglecting your responsibilities to pursue a dream. No, taking action is maintaining your responsibilities while applying the right knowledge (principles) to improve yourself and your situation. Taking action is not operating in ignorance. It's the opposite, it's choosing to be wise.

Without taking action you will live and die in your current situation. My friend, there is no perfect time to pursue your goals. You might think you're safer not taking risks and choosing to do nothing but the truth is, you're limiting yourself and your potential progress. You will never become who you're meant to be if you live for today and don't work towards the future you want. You will never feel the freedom and joy that comes with challenging yourself and keeping the commitments that you make to yourself.

Again, I have to ask, are you living for today which will lead to regret and disappointment in the future or are you investing in yourself and putting in the work for your goals now? Remeber, we will all have to suffer one of two pains: "the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment." Until next time, xo!

3 Ways You Can Make This Your BEST Year

April 8, 2019

The first thing I do when I wake up every morning (well, almost every morning unless I hear the kids screaming "mommy!" at the top of their lungs), is remind myself that this is 2019 and it's my BEST year to date! I do a few other things after that like read, pray, and journal then I'm off to start my day with a strong, healthy breakfast. All of this takes me between 45 minutes to 1 hour so I usually wake up between 6-6:30 am. Now believe it or not, before I started this routine I would easily become distracted by daily demands like emails and meetings not to mention text and Whatsapp messages, funny video's online, and social media. You might be wondering, why having a morning routine works, how doing a few simple things every day can create intense focus, and why these specific activities help us to connect with ourselves and get clarity on priorities for the day? Well, it's science! published an article last November discussing the science behind why a morning routine is effective. They confirmed things like waking up early, working out, journaling, and practicing mindfulness, helps us to reduce stress, become effective problem solvers, and boost our brains' ability to function while being more productive. Now if you want this year to be the year that you start crushing bigger goals like launching your business, increasing profits (if you already have a business), losing the excess weight you've been obsessing over since you had your baby, starting a blog/podcast/youtube channel, or whatever your big goal is, here are the top 3 things you can easily start implementing today to change the rest of your life.

1. Take Action

Nothing will get you to the finish line faster than starting right now, where you are, with what you have. Steve Maraboli says "an inch of movement will bring you closer to your goals than a mile of intention." You have a choice. You can become a victim of your circumstances, lack of resourcefulness, self-discipline, and good money management skills or you can challenge your excuses with the truth and become the hero in your story. Take action. The only person stopping you is you. Having good intentions and clear goals will not get you results. You have to become a person of action.

2. Invest In Yourself

This is the most important thing you can do for yourself this year. Now I know you're probably thinking, "...but Tee, it's not in the budget, I can't afford to do this right now." Well, listen. This doesn't have to cost you one penny! That's right. You can make a quality investment in yourself starting today for free and I'll tell you exactly how to do it, but it will cost you your time!

"Invest your time wisely, it will bring you the greatest wealth."
- Unknown

Take advantage of the millions of free content around you and online. There are very insightful, practical, and easy to understand blogs, videos, podcast, and more available to you right now. You can also reach out to people that you admire, mentors, and so on and ask them to borrow a book or two (who knows they might even let you keep them!).

I can't tell you how many amazing books I've read based on recommendations that have challenged me to be more efficient, focused, and creative. Also, keep in mind that you can borrow books from the public library for free. In Canada, they also offer ebooks and audiobooks all you need is a public library card and you'll be good to go!

If you feel you're under skilled/qualified in a specific area instead of complaining and doubting yourself get out there and start developing those skills! Find a way to challenge yourself in areas you want to see growth. You can set aside time every day to work on the specific skill, start volunteering somewhere the focuses on your expertise or join an internship. There are so many options and opportunities out there for you to develop yourself so what are you waiting for? What is your excuse?

Investing in yourself will not only change you personally, but it will enhance the way you think and the way you pursue your goals. Some of my favorite resources on goal crushing and personal development include:

Now you can start training according to your preferred learning style.  Here are a few important areas you can start investing in now for free:

  • Mindset (Psychology)
  • Money management
  • Business
  • Leadership
  • Relationship
  • Problem-solving
  • Communication
Investing in yourself pays off in more ways than you think. You will not only reap financial benefits and influence among your peers and colleagues. You will also create new opportunities that weren't available to you before and you'll begin to feel the satisfaction that comes with being on track and living a clear, focused, and purposeful life.

3. Be Grateful

Zig Ziglar said "gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more likely you will have even more to express gratitude for." and I've found this to be incredibly true. Oprah echoed the same principle when she said "be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough."

Gratitude is the foundation that makes life more enjoyable and taking action easier. It helps you to find solutions instead of focusing on problems and sulking over everything that is going wrong in your life like not having enough money or not being able to spend as much time as you want with the people you value most because you're overworked and tired.

With gratitude you begin to see things that are working for you like the fact that you have a steady income, your family is well taken care of, and you get weekends off work to relax and work on your side hustle. These are regular everyday blessings that we can so easily take for granted when you don't practice gratitude.

Something that I do to protect my heart from becoming ungrateful is, in my journal, I write 10 things I am grateful for every day. This means from Sunday-Saturday I wake up and one of the first things I do is grab my journal and make a list of 10 things, people, events, and so on that I am grateful for. The goal of this exercise is not to come up with original things to be grateful for every day. That would be great, but for me, I find that writing a list of 10 means I will definitely be repeating some things that I was grateful for yesterday and the truth is I can often find another reason to be grateful for the same thing. Do you know what I mean?

Here's an example:

Day 1:
I am grateful for my kids because they add a sense of adventure to my life...
(I learn something new with them every day)

Day 2:
I am grateful for my kids because they challenge me to keep my priorities in order...
(they help me to stay focused)

Day 3:

Most days I repeat a few things that I am grateful for, but I find a different reason to be grateful for it. Doing this consistently will naturally help you to become a more positive, happy, and content person. Over time it will become easier to stop comparing yourself to others because you will start enjoying your process, story, and life way more than ever before. You will feel more at peace with whatever challenges come your way and better prepared for new opportunities.

This week I want to challenge you to start implementing one of these 3 activities into your life. Nothing will improve unless you do. You will not magically crush your goals without sacrifice, commitment, and the right tools. Stop waiting for change and get out there and make it happen. Stop dreaming and start doing. Until next time, xo!

Are You a Dreamer or a Doer?

April 1, 2019

Every leader, entrepreneur, influencer, mentor, expert, and teacher all spent time dreaming. This is a necessary part of the goal achievement process. Before you can set out to take action on anything you need to know exactly what you are pursuing. You need a clear end result and it has to be something you strongly believe in and know without a doubt YOU are capable of achieving. You have to see the big picture ahead of you which motivates every sacrifice you make, the long hours you work, and the ways that you invest in yourself. Dreaming is good, but not if you stay here.

"Remember your dreams & fight for them."
- Paulo Coelho

Although dreaming and planning for your future is imperative it's only the first step. To actually get the results you want, you have to put in the work. What kind of work? Lol, I'm glad you asked. For every goal, the work looks slightly different but the same basic principles apply. You need a clear destination/end goal. A plain straightforward and direct blueprint of the specific steps you will take (which is also called a solid/proven strategy). You must take action which means put in physical work to achieve your goal, make better choices, and so on. Then you must follow through until you get results and beyond!

The End Goal

To move from being a dreamer to a doer you have to clearly define the exact outcome that you want and understand WHY you want it. It's not enough to set a goal like I want to launch my blog by May 1st, 2019, increase my income by September 30th, 2019, or release my book by January 3rd, 2020. Although these outcomes are clear (we know exactly WHAT  you want to achieve and you have a deadline) you need a strong, compelling why that pushes you to get it done.

Personally, in my business, the reason why I put all of my efforts into supporting, challenging, developing, and mentoring each client is for a few reasons, but the number one reason is that I believe in them without any hesitation. Each one of them has gone through a pre-qualifying process which helps my team and I to determine if we will work with them or not. 6 Weeks 1 Goal is about more than just crushing your goals within a community of supportive, like-minded goal-getters who are determined to get results and live out their purpose. We don't aim to only improve your personal, business, and financial life. No, it's about helping you to evolve into someone who takes action, lives without regrets, and has no excuses for not creating the change and impact that you want. An Easy To Follow Blueprint

Having this makes it so much easier to break through cycles of insecurity, procrastination, fear, and laziness. With a clear game plan you know exactly where you're going and each step you have to take to get there. Creating this on your own takes time, strategic thinking, and a clear vision of what you want to be apart of your future. It is the first obstacle you encounter when you set out to crush your goal because let's be honest, this is your first time trying to accomplish this (or you might have tried and failed multiple times in the past) and you don't know where to start. Does this sound like you? Well, let me give you a few basics!

Number One: Rely On Your GPS

Think of your blueprint as a GPS. When you put the address in you will find several different ways to reach the same location. This truth applies to the route that you chose to take to crush your goal(s). There are many options you can take to get the outcome that you want, however, not all of them will work for you and some routes are faster than others (like if you take the highway versus the main roads).

Number Two: Do Some Research

Look at what other successful people have done. Reach out to people that you know who have conquered the things that you struggle with and ask them to mentor you, hold you accountable, or share their "secrets". You can also join a mastermind group, hire a coach, or invest in some training. After years of studying personal development, goal achievement, and the lives of the world's most successful people in various industries I've discovered that successful people are successful because they follow what other successful people have done. They work smart. They not only have a proven, trustworthy system that works, but they also invest in a coach who is their human GPS keeping them on track and in shape. They understand that if a set of systems and principles worked for many successful people ahead of them then it will most definitely produce the same results in their life if they apply it.

"Stop dreaming, start doing!"

Taking action is what seals the deal! (But only when you remain consistent which we'll talk about below). Without this everything above is a waste of your time and you'll remain stuck, unproductive, and feeling purposeless. This principle is the key to getting results (for obvious reasons)! Action is the bridge between where you are and where you want to be. It's the piece of the puzzle that brings everything together and makes everything that you know come to life. It gives your knowledge a new meaning. You will understand the information that you have from a whole new level of insight. It really is the only way for you to experience total (personal, business, financial, and so on) transformation and growth.

You can not skip this step. You can try to ignore it, pretend like you've done it, or even try to get someone else to do it for you, but results don't lie. You will only get the outcome when you take intentional steps toward your goal(s). It will not work any other way. Praying, fasting, talking, hoping, wishing, and dreaming will help, but they will not do the work that you were meant to do.

"Winner never quit
& quitters never win"

Simple, but true. If you want to win with your goal and make this year better than last year, or even go further than that and make this month better, more results-driven than last month then after you write down your end goal, create a clear blueprint to work with, stop dreaming and start doing  (take action), you must follow through until you see results! This is not an overnight process. If you want to lose 10 lbs before June 1st, 2019 you have to be consistent and persevere. There are no short cuts to this. If you want to increase your business sales or drive more traffic to your website then you have to map out a clear strategy (that works, not one that you made up) and stick with it until you see the results.

Now, I get it! I know this is hard! It's probably the hardest step in being a doer, but you won't win without it. I had a coach that told me "Theresa, if you want to win you're not only going to have to invest in yourself, put in the work, and make some sacrifices that feel uncomfortable. You're also going to have to commit to sticking with what you know works until you see results. Whether it's 5-50 years you have to be committed to applying what you know works." This way of thinking changed my whole mindset.

Perseverance not only challenges your will and level of commitment to your goal, but it's also meant to challenge your character. You see, goal achievement is not about the attaining the goal. It's about who you become in the process. It's about the new experiences you get while pursuing your goal. All of the effort, pain, sweat, and tears that go into achieving your goal is not just for the end result, it's all apart of the molding process to help you mature into the boss that you are!

The truth is if you are a dreamer you are no different from a doer. Success is not solely based on how gifted, intelligent, or blessed you are. It's based on what you do with what you know you should be doing. It's so widely available for anyone to give it a try, yet so challenging that only a few succeed. I firmly believe that you have what it takes and you owe it to yourself to put in the best effort that you can to stop dreaming and start doing. Until next time, xo!
