Dream Bigger Than You Ever Thought Was Possible

June 29, 2020

What is the measuring stick you use to define what is realistic and what is unrealistic? Doesn’t it usually boil down to what has been done before, people’s opinions, and what has been realistic for them? Yea, I’m not bout that life. Hit play to hear why.

If you saw my vision board you would probably think my goals were unrealistic but here’s why I put them there. If I truly believe and live in a world where anything is possible for me then why should I restrict or limit myself to my current situation?

I am not limited by my situation, I create it. I am not limited by my finances, I create it. I am not limited by my network, I create it. I am not limited by my resources or anything else because (say it with me) I CREATE IT.

I create what is possible for me and so do you.

So when setting your goals don’t think about what you’ve done before, what you’ve seen others do, and what you know is "realistic". Dream and set goals for things that you’ve never experienced, never heard of, and that you wish existed! Hit play for more!

Struggling To Apply Yourself To Achieve Your Business Goals? Hit Play

June 22, 2020

Ouuuuuu weeee! Today you're in for a treat! We're talking to one of my good friends who I also consider to be one of my sisters from another mista and she runs an online business! We're going to talk about the early stages of her business, how she started pulling in 5-figure months, and what running an online business is really like.

Business Is Progressive

Listen, if you don't hit $100,000 in your first (or second) year of business you are not a failure! Lol, it's kind of ridiculous how we put this crazy amount of pressure on ourselves to take all of the right steps, engage in all of the right opportunities, and lead this life of success and financial freedom right from the beginning as entrepreneurs!

Here's the truth business doesn't work like that. In this episode, you're going to hear us address some very popular myths about business like "If you are not making any money then you have a hobby, not a business." This is 100% not true!

A business takes time to evolve. You don't start out with a huge email list, thousands of followers, and recurring monthly revenue rolling in. It takes time to create the vision. It takes time to attract your community. So your first few years in business might require a bit of work on the front end without the big paycheque following on the backend but this doesn't mean that this is how it will always be.

Hit play and let's talk about how you can maintain your focus and discipline throughout the various seasons of business so that you can create the impact and leave the legacy that you dream of leaving behind for future generations to enjoy.

Create Success On Your Terms

One of the key themes you will hear in this episode is you define what success looks like for you. You don't need approval, validation, or anything else. You can create your life on our own terms following God's dream for you.

You will also hear us dive into talks about how to create exactly what you desire. I know sometimes we can feel stuck in life like no matter what we do (especially since COVID) we just can't get ahead. Right? It's almost like feeling trapped in a hamster wheel doing the same thing over and over again.

Well, hit play and let's talk about it because here's the thing. We are not limited by our current circumstances, business results, resources, and so on. Right now we have everything we need to be successful and we are in charge of our lives so instead of focusing on all the things that are not working, let's talk about how we can use what we have to create exactly what we are dreaming about.

Summary:

Your life is what you make it. Your business is what you make it. So why not create something great? Why not tap into your potential and use your gifts to impact the world for better? Let's turn your ideas into something profitable.

Tony Robbins said, “A real decision is measured by the fact that you’ve taken a new action. If there’s no action, you haven’t truly decided.” After listening to this episode you now have a decision to make. Here's the question, will I stay the same or will I apply myself to achieve my goals? Until next time, your accountability partner,

Mental Health Check-In: How Are You?

June 15, 2020

2020 has been a CRAZY year! So far we've lived through a pandemic (which is still going on) and a racial revolution. I don't know about you but at the end of 2019, I did not see any of this on the horizon.

It can feel like a scary time to be alive. With all of the news reports focused on stirring up fear and anxiety (which I choose not to watch), it is so easy (and totally normal) to have a lot of emotions like stress controlling our mind right now. Am I right?

Friend, if working on your goals is not at the top of the list that is okay!

Give Yourself Grace

Give yourself time to recover from all of the overwhelm, busyness, and everything else. Last week I turned my phone off (thank God I run an online business so I was still able to get work done, connect with clients, etc) and I spent that time reconnecting with myself.

I needed to really dive deep and understand how I was feeling about the racial tension, what I was truly thinking, and get to the root of my own motives, fears, and pain.

I didn't need to read another article about systemic racism. I didn't need to watch another IG video of police brutality. I just needed a mental break from it all. Maybe you can relate?

Hit play and let's talk about how we can better manage our mental health through all of the pressure we're facing in our current world.

The Results of Solitude

Taking the time to disconnect from the world so that I could find myself helped me to see a few things:

1. I Need To Do This More Often:

To keep my sanity and a clear perspective, time away from all of the noise is not optional. It is necessary. 100% mandatory.

2. Stay Aligned With My Higher Vision:

It's so easy to get lost in being busy. I don't want to do that anymore. I want to work and create everything from a place of purpose, alignment, and a powerful mission.

Hit play to hear more about some of the discoveries I made during my time in solitude.

Summary:

If you want to talk about everything from how to crush your goals in the midst of a stressful season to how to mentally detox so that you are in a good place to lead a productive life then hit play! I love you and I mean. If you are on the gram let's stay connected and follow me. Your accountability partner, Xo

It Won't Be Business As Usual Until Black Lives Matter

June 8, 2020

black lives matter

Black Lives Matter:

George Floyd
Ahmaud Arbery
Breonna Taylor
Philando Castile
Tamir Rice
Eric Garner
Freddie Gray
Oscar Grant
Trayvon Martin
Cyntoia Brown
Alton Sterling
Sandra Bland
Michael Brown
Sean Bell
Emmett Till
The list goes on and on.

It's not business as usual and it won't be ever again. If you are apart of this community and you follow me on Instagram then you know I've been posting a lot about the racial injustices that are happening around the world against Black people and can I be honest with you?

As a black woman, I can recall a few experiences where racism was VERY clear, but would I say that I feel oppressed? No. Am I afraid of white people? No. Do I feel like a victim of racism? No.

This might surprise you but some of my closest friends, people I pray with all the time, call on when I'm stressed out, and who know me very well are actually white and their not the kind of white people who grew up around black ppl...uh-uh they "white-white" okay?

So the reason why I'm speaking out is not that I'm angry or want revenge. I'm not looking for an apology. I really just want this to end. I'm tired of systematic racism, discrimination, and prejudices that keep black people oppressed. I know this issue won't be healed overnight and I know talking about this might feel uncomfortable for you but we need to have these conversations if we want to see lasting change happen in the world.

This is why I share this with you.

I need YOU to speak up against injustice. I need YOU to use your influence with your friends to teach them why racist jokes aren't cool. I need YOU to exercise your power and vote against systematic oppression. I need YOU to love and value my life as much as you love and value your own.

I know logically it's easy to understand that black lives matter and all humans are equal but I need you to live and breathe this. I need you to practice this. I need you to make decisions and judgments that are aligned with this truth.

I share this with you in hopes that we all together would take a look at our own prejudices, racist beliefs, and ways that we contribute to and benefit from the overall structure of racism. I believe that if we examine ourselves and do the work to clean up our junk we can live in a world where there is no racism.

Call me crazy or say it's impossible, but I know that if we had the power to create this mess and build systems around oppression then we definitely have the power to clean this up!

I love and appreciate you so much goal-getters! Thank you for listening. I hope you hear my heart. Continue to dream big, aim high, and act bold xo.

How to Harness The Power of Your Mind To Crush Your Goals

June 1, 2020

Today we're kicking things off a little off the cuff. I know you've read the headlines Black Lives Matter, watched the videos of police brutality, and seen the uproar that is happening around the world with all of these riots. This episode has nothing to do with any of that, but I couldn't come and talk with you today and pretend like this wasn't on my heart.

I'm so tired of seeing black people murdered in the streets. Whether it's from police brutality or black on black crime. I'm tired of reading the stories about people who kill innocent, unarmed, black people and receive the verdict "not guilty".

I want everyone reading this to know that Black Lives Matter. This doesn't mean that we're more important than anyone else. This simply means that we are EQUAL to everyone else. We are valuable. We are human beings and we have a purpose.

Show Notes:

Today I want to introduce you to someone who put herself through the fire! At the age of 30, she decided that is was time to become the strongest, fittest, and healthiest she's ever been in her life! This goal changed her and today she is taking us behind the scenes to hear about the challenges, victories, and bummed out moments she experienced on her way to success.

This is absolutely incredible because I know MANY people who believe that everything goes south once you hit the big 3.0. Lol, I've had conversations with people who think that 30 is the beginning of the end! Wrinkles appear, the body isn't as agile, and so on and so forth, but Hannah takes that belief and debunks it for exactly what it is. Simply a belief!

If you think life ends at 30 and your body won't look as good as it did in your 20's then that is what you will experience, however, if you understand that your body is simply a reflection of the way YOU take care of it then you will see hitting 30, 50, and even 80 as a blessing! Not a scary number that makes you "feel old".

Hit play and dive into this incredible interview.

You will hear about:

  • How to master your mind when training your body to do something new
  • How to use your mind to hit long-term goals
  • How to stay on track with your goals when you are juggling many responsibilities
  • And so much more!
